The Alcove Lounge is a PVC structure with lycra coverings which double as a shade structure by day and a projection surface by night. The lycra covering is semi water resistant and the structure is somewhat malleable, and easily can be presented in several forms. The Alcove is designed to be a comfortable chillout space where participants can interact with projects housed within, or rest, converse and relax. Various interior layouts can be presented to showcase other sub projects or meet the specific needs of an event.

Possible Layouts Include:

• A lounge area with rugs and throws, inflatable seating, and an ambient music listening station
• An interactive area featuring The Traveling Sandbox Light Table project
• An Interactive Video area
• A Wish Casting Station for the Solar Wish Spires project
• A food service area for a juice bar or sushi station & the like
• A DJ or VJ booth
• A backdrop and storage area for presentations, seminars, speaking engagements & the like

The Alcove Lounge is designed to be an effective solution appropriate for presenting in remote locations. All lighting, sound and video elements are solar charged. The structure is designed to run off grid, though on grid or hybrid layouts are also possible as appropriate. The structural elements are light weight and the component parts are easy to hand carry.
